We Are CMMC 2.0 Certified | Strengthening Supply Chain Security

As cybersecurity becomes even more of a critical requirement for supply chains, thyssenkrupp Engineered Plastics through thyssenkrupp Materials NA is proud to be CMMC Level 2 Certified. This important designation from the Department of Defense (DoD) demonstrates our commitment to protecting sensitive data; helping our customers meet government contract requirements.

As a trusted supplier to defense and aerospace manufacturers, we know how important it is to maintain secure and reliable supply chain partnerships. With our CMMC 2.0 certification already in place, we’re positioned to support your business with compliant material sourcing and processing, both right now and into the future.

What Is CMMC 2.0?

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 is a U.S. Department of Defense framework aimed at improving cybersecurity across the entire defense industrial base. It applies to any company that processes, stores, or transmits sensitive government information, including:

  • Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
  • Federal Contract Information (FCI)

Depending on the type of information handled, your organization may be required to meet Level 1 or Level 2 CMMC certification standards to participate in government programs.

Key Timeline to Know

The U.S. Department of Defense has announced that CMMC 2.0 requirements will start appearing in contracts as early as 2025, with full implementation expected no later than January 1, 2028.

⚠️ If your contracts extend beyond this date and the appropriate certification is not in place, you may be at risk of losing eligibility for certain government work.
